Ideas and questions I gathered from the film: Picasso (a Spanish painter living in Paris) corresponded with Neruda (a Chilean writer living in Chile). How did Picasso and Neruda meet? How much of their relationship was a political alliance (Picasso openly affiliated with Communism at the end of World War II) and how much of it was artistic support? Neruda was a senator so he was integrated in the political and artistic spheres.
As another fun fact, Wikipedia says Neruda won two peace prizes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Neruda)!
I am intrigued by this poet and plan to read some of his works.
